Daido Ruijuho - Daido Ruijuho

A medical book from the Heian period. In 808 (Daido 3), Izumo Hirosada, Abe Manao and others were ordered by Emperor Heizei to collect, select and compile prescriptions handed down from kuni no miyatsuko, agatanushi, inagi and wake no obito, as well as large and small shrines in various provinces, and noble and old families. It consists of 100 volumes and is the first and largest book to compile Japan's ancient medical prescriptions, but it has not been handed down to the present day. Currently, the Izumo version, Hata version, Kitabatake version and others are circulated as copies, but they are all forgeries and the contents are said to be more or less the same. This matter was discussed by the Japanese physician Sato Norisada of the late Edo period in his book Ki Tamashii, and many other scholars have concluded that it is a forgery.

平安時代の医書。出雲広貞(いずものひろさだ)、安倍真直(あべのまなお)らが、808年（大同3）に平城(へいぜい)天皇の命を受け、国造(くにのみやつこ)、県主(あがたぬし)、稲置(いなぎ)、別首(わけのおびと)、あるいは諸国の大小神社、民間の名族・旧家に伝来する薬方を徴集し、選出・類纂(るいさん)した。100巻よりなり、日本古来の医方を総集した最初で最大の書であるが、今日に伝わっていない。現在、出雲本、畑本、北畠(きたばたけ)本などが流布本として伝わっているが、それらはいずれも偽撰(ぎせん)で、その内容は大同小異とされる。このことについては、幕末の和方医家、佐藤方定(のりさだ)が『奇魂』で論じたほか、多くの学者が偽書と断じている。
