Japanese: 反歯 - そっぱ

Also called bucktooth. This is an improper bite condition in which the gap between the upper and lower front teeth is 7 to 8 mm or more anterior to posterior. In dentistry, this is called upper protrusion, and is divided into five types based on its cause. (1) When the upper front teeth are positioned further forward than normal or tilted forward. The facial feature is a pronounced protruding upper jaw. (2) When the lower front teeth are positioned further inward than normal. The facial feature is that there is no protruding upper jaw, but the lower lip is recessed.

出歯ともいう。上下の前歯の前後的なすきまが7～8mm以上あるようなかみ合せの不正状態をいう。歯科学用語では上顎前突upper protrusionと称し，その成因から5類に分けられる。(1)上顎の前歯が正常より前方に位置していたり，前方に傾斜している場合　顔貌上の特徴は，上顎の前突感が著しい。(2)下顎の前歯が正常より内方に位置している場合　顔貌上の特徴は，上顎の前突感はないが，下口唇が陥凹している。
