Theory of the viscera - zàng fǔ shuō

Theory of the viscera - zàng fǔ shuō
It is one of the basic concepts of Chinese medicine, and is described in books such as Suwen and Lingshu, which are said to originate from the Huangdi Neijing (Eternal Canon of the Yellow Emperor) of the Han dynasty, and has since developed around this. Zang and Fu were originally written as Zang and Fu. Zang and Fu are also internal organs of the chest and abdomen, but the distinction is made that zang is a solid organ that stores qi, while fu is a hollow organ that processes ingested water and grain, transports it to other parts of the body, and expels it from the body. There were originally five types of viscera: the heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys, and six types of fu: the gallbladder, stomach, large intestine, small intestine, triple burner, and bladder, but in connection with the meridian theory, a sixth organ, the heart's master (also called the heart's lining), was also postulated.
