A Chinese scholar in the mid-Qing dynasty. His pen name was Shaoyi and his pen name was Xie Shan. He was from Yin County, Zhejiang Province (Ningbo). He was influenced by the Zhejiang School of scholars Huang Zongxi and Wan Sitong, and was particularly devoted to the study of Ming history, and never wavered in his resistance to the Qing dynasty. He was recognized early on for his talents in poetry and literature by Cha Shen Xing, Fang Bao, and Li Fu (1673-1750), but after losing hope of a career in government in his early 30s, he mostly stayed in his hometown and devoted himself to training the next generation of scholars. He also revised the "Songyuan Gakuan," revised the "Shuijing Zhuan," wrote annotations for the "Kongaku Kibun," and wrote many other treatises. The 10 volumes of "Jingshi Mondo" are often compared to Gu Yanwu's "Nichiroku," but many of Zubou's posthumous manuscripts were never published and were stored away in deep storage, and many of them have been lost. There are 38 volumes of "Kitsukiteishu," 50 volumes of other volumes, and 10 volumes of the "Kitsukiteishu" poetry collection.
