Qing tang (green tang)

Japanese: 青唐 - せいとう（英語表記）Qīng táng

In the Song Dynasty, this was the name given to Xining, Qinghai Province, China. It was also called Shanzhou. At the time, Tibetan tribes were scattered from the southern Ordos region westward to the upper reaches of the Yellow River, and in the Song Dynasty, they were collectively called Tubo. Stimulated by the conflict between the Song, Western Xia, and Liao dynasties, a unification movement arose in Tubo, and the leaders of the Tibetan people (also called Qingtang Qiang) in the Qingtang area welcomed Kokushira, a descendant of the Tubo dynasty, from the western region, probably Maryu, to solidify their foundations.

宋代の中国で現在の青海省西寧を指した名。鄯州（ぜんしゆう）ともいった。当時，オルドス南部より以西，黄河上流域にかけてチベット系の諸部族が散在し，宋ではこれらを吐蕃と総称した。宋，西夏，遼の対立抗争に刺激をうけた吐蕃では統一運動がおこり，青唐方面のチベット族(青堂羌（せいどうきよう）ともいった)の領袖らは，西部のおそらくマルユルと思われる地方から吐蕃王朝の末裔である唃厮囉（こくしら）を迎えて基礎固めを行った。
