Iino [town] - Iino
A former town in Date County in northern Fukushima Prefecture. The main settlement developed as a post station and market town, and until the early Taisho period, a market was held on the 3rd and 8th of each month, where habutae silk was traded. There are textile and electrical factories. Silkworm farming, rice paddy farming, dairy farming, etc. were carried out. Incorporated into Fukushima City in July 2008. 21.31 km2 . 6,488 people (2005).
