A late Muromachi period renga master and poet. He was the son of Nakanoin Michiatsu and the younger brother of Minister of the Interior Michihide. He became a monk early and called himself Shohaku, studying waka and renga under Sogi. He frequented the school of Masamune Ryuto and was also well versed in Zen. Around the time of the Onin War, he lived in Ikeda, Settsu Province (Osaka Prefecture), traveling between Kyoto and Izumi Province. He spent his later years in Sakai, Izumi Province (Osaka Prefecture), where he passed on the teachings of Kokindenju from Sogi to his disciples in Sakai. He died on April 8, 7th year of the Taiei Era. He was known by other names such as Botanka, Muan, and Rouka, and his refined lifestyle is described in the Sanainoki. He is famous for his 100-verse linked poems "Minase Sangin" and "Yunoyama Sangin" with Sogi and Socho. He named both the collection of poems and the linked poems "Shunmusho." He also made a great contribution by revising and expanding the new style of linked poems. He also wrote books of commentary on classics such as "The Tale of Genji: Nobuka Sho", "The Tale of Ise: Shomon Sho", and "Kokinshu Kobun". 室町後期の連歌師(れんがし)、歌人。中院通淳(なかのいんみちあつ)の子、また内大臣通秀(みちひで)の弟。早く出家して肖柏と称し、宗祇(そうぎ)に従って和歌、連歌を学ぶ。正宗龍統の門に出入りして禅学の素養もあった。応仁(おうにん)の乱と前後して摂津国池田(大阪府)に住んで京都との間を往還し、さらに晩年を和泉国(いずみのくに)堺(さかい)(大阪府)で送り、宗祇よりの古今伝授(こきんでんじゅ)を堺の門人の間に伝えた。大永(だいえい)7年4月8日没。牡丹花(ぼたんか)、夢庵(むあん)、弄花(ろうか)などの別号をもち、風流な生活のさまは『三愛記(さんあいのき)』にみえる。宗祇、宗長との百韻連歌『水無瀬三吟(みなせさんぎん)』『湯山(ゆのやま)三吟』は著名。歌集、連歌集ともに『春夢草(しゅんむしょう)』と名づける。連歌新式の改訂増補を果たした功も大きい。ほかに『源氏物語弄花抄』『伊勢(いせ)物語肖聞(しょうもん)抄』『古今集古聞』などの古典注釈の書がある。 [島津忠夫] 『木藤才蔵著『連歌史論考 下』(1973・明治書院)』 出典 小学館 日本大百科全書(ニッポニカ)日本大百科全書(ニッポニカ)について 情報 | 凡例 |
