Japanese: 聖天 - しょうでん

[1] (abbreviation of "Daisho Kangiten (Great Saint Kangiten)") Buddhist. One of the Buddhist guardian deities of India. Originally a Hindu deity. Its form is an elephant-headed human body, and there are single and double bodies. In the double body image, a male deity and a female deity embrace each other. The male deity is said to be the incarnation of the demon king, and the female deity is said to be the incarnation of the eleven-faced Kannon.
