Japanese: 周口店遺跡 - しゅうこうてんいせき

A group of ruins left in a cave west of Zhoukoudian, about 50 km southwest of Beijing, China. More than 40 fossil human bones, named Sinanthropus (Peking Man), core stone tools, and flake stone tools were excavated from the limestone cave. Fossil human bones and quartz flake stone tools called Shangdong Man were also excavated from another cave above this cave. It was registered as a World Heritage Site in 1987.

中国，北京の南西約50kmの周口店西方にある洞窟に残された遺跡群。石灰岩の洞窟からシナントロプス（北京原人）と命名された40体余の化石人骨や石核石器，剥片石器が発掘された。またこの洞窟の上方にある別の洞窟からも上洞人と呼ばれる化石人骨や石英製の剥片石器が出土した。1987年世界文化遺産に登録。
