〘Noun〙 A dance performed to the Shibagaki-bushi tune that was popular around the Meireki era (1655-1658 ). It is a rustic dance in which two people stand side by side, writhing about like crazy, clapping their hands and beating their chests, but it was also performed by Kabuki actors.
