〘Noun〙[1] A general term for the Imikura, Uchitsukura , and Okura, which were owned by the Yamato government in the pre-Taika period. [2] A Buddhist term. ① A general term for the three types of Buddhist scriptures: the Sutra Storehouse , the Vinaya Storehouse, and the Treatise Storehouse. The Sutra Storehouse is a collection of the Buddha's preaching, the Vinaya Storehouse is a collection of Buddhist precepts, and the Treatise Storehouse is a collection of commentaries and studies on the Sutras. ※Shoku Nihongi - Yoro 2 (718), October Kogo, "In the learning of the five sects and the teachings of the Tripitaka, there are differences in discussion" ② (2) ① is a title of respect given to a high priest who is well versed in ①. It also refers to the translators of the Tripitaka in ①. Tripitaka of Zhenji, Tripitaka of Xuanzang , Tripitaka of Faxian, etc. ※Records of a Pilgrimage to China in Search of the Law (838-847), vol. 3: "In ancient times, the Japanese Immortal Tripitaka visited two pavilions and saw ten thousand Bodhisattvas, all of whom were worshipped." ③ In the Tendai sect, another name for the Hinayana. [The Lotus Sutra - Anrakugyo Chapter] ④ The teachings of the Buddha, Bodhisattva, and Shravaka . Also, the teachings of Shravaka, Pratyekabuddha, and Bodhisattva. Three Vehicles. [Kaibapen (1800)] [Shakushi Yoran - Chu] [3] A common name for people of low status such as blacksmiths, boatmen, and horsemen. ※Kanazoshi - Miyako Fuzoku Kan (1681), vol . 1: "Even Tripitaka and Onatsu kept asking for favors, even in the corners and behind the baths ."

Mitsukura [Three treasures]

〘Noun〙① Before the Ritsuryo system, this was a general term for the Imikura, Uchitsukura , and Okura, which belonged to the Emperor. Sanzo. ② Generally refers to the presence of three storehouses in a mansion. It also refers to a young girl born and raised in a wealthy family. ※Haiku poem, Saikaku Oyakazu (1681), Vol. 13 "The hands of the moko touch my skin, and even the timidness of the three storehouses raises a voice."

みつ‐くら【三蔵】

〘名〙① 令制前、大王の所有に属する斎蔵(いみくら)・内蔵(うちつくら)・大蔵(おおくら)の総称。さんぞう。② 一般に、屋敷内に蔵が三つあることをいう。また、転じて富家に生まれ育ったおぼこ娘をいう。※俳諧・西鶴大矢数(1681)第一三「お肌に添しあはれ摩胡の手 三つ蔵の内気ものさへ声を上」
