Sadamitsu [town] - Sadamitsu
An old town in Mima County, in the north-central part of Tokushima Prefecture. The main settlement is on a river terrace on the south bank of the Yoshino River, near the confluence with the Sadamitsu River. Poultry farming is the main agricultural industry. It is a distribution center for timber and tobacco, and also has a sawmill. It is on the Tokushima Line and is the trailhead for Mt. Tsurugi. In March 2005, it merged with Handa Town and Ichi Village in Mima County to become Tsurugi Town. 45.40 km2 . 5,877 people (2003).
