One of the Japanese trademarks for the synthetic fiber nylon 6 obtained by polymerizing ε-caprolactam. Nylon 6 is manufactured by about 50 companies around the world, and is also a trademark of Perlon in Germany, Caprolan in the United States, and Kapron in the former Soviet Union.
