Jiuta sangen score. Only the first volume of the three half-sized volumes was published in Bunsei 11 (1828). Volumes 2 to 6, which were predicted in the colophon, were not published. Preface published in Bunsei 7 (23). Edited by Kazuno Hanzan, proofread by Mitsuzaki Kengyo, and published by Kyoto Noda Jihei and others. The volumes Snow and Moon contain the front scores of shamisen honte (kumiuta), and the volume Flower contains relatively detailed scores of hirauta (miscellaneous songs). The lyrics are placed over the symbols representing the front and back spaces in the center, with the song on the right and the sangen pitch on the left, written in abbreviated kana notation of the twelve-note names. It is the most precise and rational Japanese music score before the Meiji period.
