A ledger prepared by a sengoku or early modern daimyo to allocate the type and amount of military service to each of his vassals. It is also simply called a service ledger. Among the sengoku daimyo, the Odawara Hojo clan's Odawara Shushoryo Yakucho (1559) is well known, and based on the registered kokudaka (rice field amount), taking into account yearly changes, it determined the guns, bows, spears, and flags that each vassal should carry when going into battle, as well as the number of combatants to operate them. In the early modern period, the military service of vassals was determined based on the kokudaka (rice field amount), but just as in the Sengoku period, a ledger was required that calculated and allocated the number of weapons and attendants according to the stipend.
