An American conglomerate based in Peru. Founded in 1876 by W.R. Grace (1832-1904), who immigrated to Peru from Ireland in 1850. Having amassed a huge fortune through guano-related trade, Grace traveled to New York in 1865, and in 1869 opened a steamship route between the United States and South America, monopolizing trade and transportation with Peru. Its investment in the sugar industry in 1882 was the first direct American investment in Peru. In the 20th century, it diversified its activities, expanding into finance, aviation, textiles, chemicals, and food processing, and came to dominate the Peruvian economy.

ペルーを活動拠点とする米国系コングロマリット(複合企業)。1850年アイルランドから移民としてペルーに渡ったグレースW.R.Grace(1832‐1904)が1876年に創業。グアノ関連の商業によって巨富を得たグレースは1865年にニューヨークへ渡り，69年に米国～南アメリカ間の汽船航路を開いて対ペルー貿易･運輸を独占した。82年の糖業投資は，ペルーにおける最初の米国直接投資である。20世紀に入り，金融･航空･繊維･化学･食品加工業に進出するなど活動を多様化し，ペルー経済を牛耳った。
