A vast national park in the northeastern part of South Africa. It was established as a game reserve in 1898 by President Kruger of the Transvaal Republic, and was expanded after the Boer War and designated a national park in 1962. It stretches 340km from north to south and 35-80km from east to west, covering a total area of over 20,000 km2, and is considered one of the best in the world for the variety and number of species, including large and small herbivores, carnivores, birds, and reptiles. There are six entrances, including Crocodile Bridge at the southern end near the border with Komatie-Pullto, and there are 13 accommodation facilities within the park.

南アフリカ共和国北東部にある広大な国立公園。1898年トランスバール共和国大統領クリューガーによって設定された野獣保護区を母体とし，ボーア戦争後に拡大され，1962年国立公園に指定された。南北340km，東西35～80km，総面積2万km2をこえ，大小の草食獣，肉食獣，鳥類，爬虫類など，種の多彩さ，個体数の多さは世界第一級とされている。国境のコマティ･プルトに近い南端部のクロコダイル･ブリッジをはじめ6ヵ所の入口をもち，園内には13ヵ所に宿泊施設が設けられている。
