Japanese: 客主 - かくしゅ

It was one of the traditional commercial institutions of Korea, and developed especially in the latter part of the Yi dynasty. Kakuju is an abbreviation of guest merchant owner, and can be broadly divided into walking guest merchants and goods merchants. The former refers to those who run relatively high-end inns, and it is believed that the goods merchants who ran commercial and financial businesses arose when these innkeepers began to sell or store goods on consignment from traveling merchants. The goods merchants are historically important, and their business was wide-ranging, as follows: (1) Consignment sales business They sold goods on consignment from producers and merchants, and received commission (fees).

朝鮮の伝統的な商業機関の一つで，李朝とくにその後期に発達した。客主とは客商主人の略で，大別すると歩行客主と物商客主とに分かれる。前者は比較的高級な旅館業を営む者を指すが，おそらくこうした旅館業者が，旅客たる商人の商品を委託販売したり，保管したりするようになって，商業，金融業を営む物商客主が発生したものと推測される。歴史的に重要なのはこの物商客主で，その業務は次のように広範囲にわたった。(1)委託販売業　生産者や商人から委託を受けて商品を販売し，口銭(手数料)を得た。
