Mr. Kitsuregawa

Descendants of the Ashikaga clan, the Koga kubō. In 1590, after the Odawara campaign, Toyotomi Hideyoshi had Oyumi no Shigeyoshi's grandson, Kunitomo, succeed Yoshiuji Ashikaga, the Koga kubō. He was given the title of Kiryugawa after being granted the title of viscount in Shioya County, Shimotsuke Province. During the Edo period, his fief was only 5,000 koku, but he was given the status of 100,000 koku. In the Meiji period, he was restored to the Ashikaga clan and became a viscount.

古河公方足利氏の後裔。天正 18 (1590) 年，豊臣秀吉が小田原征伐ののち，小弓 (おゆみ) 御所足利義明の孫国朝に古河公方足利義氏の跡を継がせ，下野国塩谷郡喜連川に封じてから喜連川氏を称した。江戸時代 5000石にすぎなかったが，10万石の格式を与えられた。明治にいたり足利氏に復し，子爵に列した。
