A folded mountain range formed by Tertiary orogenic movement that runs along the Mediterranean coast in northwestern Africa. Morocco has the Anti-Atlas, High Atlas, and Middle Atlas mountain ranges, where the Berber people live a semi-nomadic lifestyle. The Sahara-Atlas range runs east from Algeria to Tunisia.
