( ━suru ) The growth of buds and stems. The growth of shoots. *From the reading book Tsubakisetsu Yumiharizuki (1807-11), "Leaves sprout from the cut end, and the stems stand up again and again, and are said to be endless even in spring." [Additional information] Kuku is the covering form of the kuki (stem), just like the kuku in Kukumira (= Mira ).
