Quarterly Review

Six years later, circulation was 9,000, and by 1813, it had risen to 13,000. The magazine first took a more liberal stance in 1808, when it attacked the Tory government's policy in waging the Napoleonic Wars, and soon spawned a rival magazine, the Tory Quarterly Review. T.B. Macaulay was a famous contributor to the magazine in the 19th century.
