A perennial plant of the Rosaceae family. It is widely distributed in Southeast Asia and is commonly seen in the mountains and fields of Japan. The entire plant is hairy. The base leaves are odd-pinnate compound leaves that grow in clusters, and the stem leaves are trifoliate. In spring, it produces yellow five-petal flowers that resemble strawberry flowers.
