〘Noun〙① A type of karuta gambling. It is played using 40 cards from the 48 cards of the Tensho Karuta, excluding four horse cards and four kiri cards. The highest number you can get by turning over your hand and adding it to the cards you have is 15. It is called kingo fuda. ※Joruri, Dannoura Kabuto Gunki (1732), vol. 2 "Wouldn't it be fun to use that as capital to play with your wives and wives for gold dust ?"② An abbreviation used by gamblers to refer to the number 15. ※Sharebon, Yobukodori (1779), Yamashita Hakkei "I took it from the man behind me and it was sixteen.
