Kyrgyz Kazakh - Kirghiz Kazakh

...A Turkic ethnic group whose main habitat is the Republic of Kazakhstan in Central Asia and the Yilhasake Autonomous Prefecture in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China. The Russians mistakenly called them Kyrgyz or Kyrgyz Kazakhs, so they are referred to as such in old Western documents. The population is estimated to be about 7.07 million in Kazakhstan (1992), 1.01 million in China (1988), and 10 million in Uzbekistan, Russia, Mongolia, etc.
