Polar axis

Japanese: 極軸 - キョクジク
Polar axis
One of the rotation axes of an equatorial mount of an astronomical telescope. By aligning it with the direction of the Earth's axis at the observation point, it is possible to track celestial bodies that move in a diurnal cycle by rotating in one direction.
