…前橋町生糸商も1879年に昇立社･天原社などの揚返所を設け，福島県郡山町の生糸商は共同で正製組(1880)や真製組(1881)を設立した。福島町生糸商もやや遅れて89年に共同生糸荷造所を設立したが，同所は1900年代末まで横浜での最大の生糸荷主であった。こうした改良により座繰製糸の生産量は1894年に器械製糸に凌駕されつつも1911年まで漸増し輸出もされたが，その後は国内向けに限られるようになり衰退していった。…
