Suction funnel - Kyuinrouto

A general term for funnels used in vacuum filtration. Many types of suction funnels have been devised depending on the pressure applied to the filtering surface during vacuum filtration, the type and amount of material to be filtered, and the purpose of the filtration. Filter paper is used for gravimetric analysis funnels with small holes on the inside of a double funnel, filter sticks, ceramic Nutsche or Büchner funnels widely used in organic chemistry experiments, Hirsch funnels with a perforated plate attached to an ordinary glass funnel, Hirsch funnels with the perforated plate separated, and Gooch crucibles (for quantitative analysis) used for filtering barium sulfate in the microcarius method. Glass filters, which use sintered glass for the filtering layer, are also widely used, and the size and shape of the holes in the filtering layer vary from the so-called funnel type to cylindrical types. These suction funnels can also be used in combination with heating or cooling equipment. Other specialized types include Pregl filters, which are modified small funnels filled with glass wool for use in quantitative analysis.

減圧濾過に用いる漏斗の総称．吸引漏斗は，減圧濾過のために濾過面にかかる圧力，濾過物質の種類と量，濾過の目的などにより，多種類の漏斗が考案されている．沪紙を用いるものでは，二重になった漏斗の内側に小穴をあけた重量分析用漏斗，濾過棒(filter stick)，有機化学実験に広く用いられている陶製のヌッチェまたはブフナー漏斗，普通のガラス漏斗に目皿を固着したヒルシュ(Hirsch)の漏斗，ヒルシュの漏斗から目皿だけを分離したもの，ミクロカリウス法で硫酸バリウムの濾過などに用いるグーチるつぼ(定量用)などがある．また，濾過層に半融ガラスを用いたガラスフィルターは広く普及しており，濾過層の目の大きさ，形状もいわゆる漏斗型から円筒型などの各種がある．さらにこれらの吸引漏斗に保温，または冷却器具を組み合わせた利用法もある．そのほか特殊なものでは，変形した小型漏斗にガラスウールを充填した定量分析用のもの(Pregl filter)などもある．
