A technical method for color film invented in 1906 by the British C. Urban and GA Smith. This method, called the two-color method, involved placing a rotating red and green filter in front of the taking lens, through which the film was shot and projected. It was well-received at the time, but in 1915, the American H. Kalmus developed the three-color color system Technicolor, ushering in an era of Technicolor dominance, and it was overthrown.
