Kisarazu Riverbank

...To prevent the spread of fires, there were strict regulations such as prohibiting the stacking of goods. There were many riverside areas such as Uogashi, Yokkaichigashi (Kisarazugashi), Yonegashi, Kobunegashi, and Gyotokugashi along the Nihonbashi River, and Shirauogashi and Takegashi along the Kyobashi River, as well as along the outer moat, Momijigawa, Sanjikkenbori, Kandagawa, Sumidagawa, Shiodomegawa, Shinborigawa, and various waterways in the Koto area. The Kisarazugashi began when the people of Kisarazu Port were given the right to use it, and the Gyotokugashi was given the privilege of being the exclusive landing place for Gyotoku salt.
