Cantabrian Sea

…the bay on the Atlantic coast that stretches from Cape Ortegal in northwestern Spain to the western tip of the Brittany Peninsula in France. In Spain it is called the Bay of Vizcaya or the Cantabrian Sea, and in France its southern part is called the Bay of Gascony. The Spanish side has a rocky coastline and is rich in natural harbors, and the rias, the mouths of the rivers that flow into it, are the origin of the word ria coast.
