Kawamori mine

...Once a traditional silk-raising area, it has declined, and the main industries are agriculture, including rice, tea, poultry, and dairy farming. At the northeastern edge of the town was the Kawamori Mine (Nippon Mining), where copper was mined, but it closed in 1969. The main industries are textiles, light electrical appliances, and sewing.
