Kawachi name - Kawachimyo

...Population: 5,019 (1995). Bordering Nobeoka City to the south and Oita Prefecture to the north, it consists of the districts of Nagai and Kawachimiyo. Throughout the early modern period, it belonged to the Nobeoka Domain, and checkpoints were established in Inoichi and Hachinohe in Kawachimiyo.
