A solo piece in 18th and 19th century operas and oratorios. Originally derived from recitativo (recitative), it does not have the flashy character of arias and aims for concise expression. Therefore, da capo form (ternary form A-B-A) and flashy coloratura used in arias are not often seen. Examples of this can be seen in Haydn's "The Four Seasons" in oratorios, and in Mozart's "The Marriage of Figaro" and Weber's "Der Freischütz" in operas. In the 19th century, this name was also used for instrumental pieces with a song-like character, such as the fifth movement of Beethoven's String Quartet No. 13. 18、19世紀のオペラやオラトリオ中の独唱曲。
