In one case, it was the subject of a fine of two kanmon, and in the other, the victim called it an unforgivable insult. "Opening" has the reading "tsubi," which means female sex, and it is clear that this word was an insult related to the mother's sexuality, but considering its connection with the most violent insult since the Heian period, "oyamake (mother marriage)," it is thought that it may have originally meant mother-son incest. If so, it is not only one of Japan's representative sexual taboos since the Kunitsutsumi scandal, but also an insult that has spread throughout Asia since ancient times. ...
