Paper Museum - Paper Museum

This museum has a wide selection of literature and materials related to Japanese paper, Western paper, and paper. It is located in Oji, Kita-ku, Tokyo. Its materials on Japanese paper in particular are nearly complete, and it is highly regarded worldwide. In 1950 (Showa 25), when Oji Paper Co., Ltd. was split into three companies, Tomakomai Paper (now Oji Paper), Jujo Paper, and Honshu Paper, the Paper Memorial Hall was established at the company's birthplace. It was later developed into a paper museum, and in 1965 it changed its name to its current one. The museum's journal, Hyakumanto, has also been published since 1955.

和紙、洋紙、ならびに紙に関する文献や資料を豊富にそろえた博物館。東京都北区王子にある。とくに和紙に関しての資料が完備に近く、世界的にも高く評価されている。1950年（昭和25）に、王子製紙株式会社が苫小牧(とまこまい)製紙（現在の王子製紙）、十条製紙、本州製紙に3分割されたとき、同社発祥の地に財団法人製紙記念館が設立され、その後製紙博物館として整備され、65年に現在の名称に改められた。機関誌『百万塔』も55年から発行されている。
