This hot spring wells up at the confluence of the Kinugawa River and the Ojika River in Nikko City, Tochigi Prefecture. It is a simple hot spring with a temperature of 42-47℃. It is said to have been discovered during the Kyoho era (1716-1736), and a bath attendant was stationed there, but it developed after the opening of the Tobu Kinugawa Line in 1930. Downstream is the Kinugawa River's Ryuo Gorge, and upstream is the reservoir lake Ikari Lake, and the hot spring is part of Nikko National Park. → Related topics Nikko [city] | Fujiwara [town] Source : Heibonsha Encyclopedia About MyPedia Information |
