Gaku Toubi

...A military commander in the mid-Qing Dynasty in China. His pen name was Dong Mei. He was from Chengdu, Sichuan Province. He is said to be a descendant of the Song Dynasty military commander Yue Fei, and his father was the Sichuan Admiral Yue Shenglong. In 1720 (59th year of the Kangxi era), he defeated the Dzungar army that had invaded Tibet, and the following year he became Admiral of Sichuan. In 24th year (2nd year of the Yongzheng era), he put down the rebellion of Lobsang Tenzin in Qinghai. The following year he became Governor of Chuanshan, and in 29th year he went to fight against the Dzungars as Grand General Ningyuan, but in 32nd year he failed and was punished.
