Kaga Silver

...Many silver coins were minted, such as Hanafuri silver and vermilion paper sealed silver, which were used in the three provinces of Kaga, Noto, and Etchu. In addition to Kaga silver, Akita silver, which was a fief currency, included Kubota silver, Innai silver, Noshiro silver, Yuzawa silver, Yokote silver, Kakunodate silver, and Akita Shin silver. In 1668 (Kanbun 8), a report on cupellation silver from various provinces submitted to the shogunate by Kyoto Ginza official Kano Shichiroemon, lists cupellation silver from Mutsu (Tsugaru, Aizu, Fukushima), Dewa (Yonezawa), Echigo (Niigata, Murakami, Takada), Sado, Shinano, Hida, Harima, Tajima, Inaba, Mimasaka, Iwami, Tosa, Bungo, Hyuga, and Tsushima in addition to the silver coins from Dewa Akita, Kaga, Noto, and Etchu mentioned above.
