This is an element used in electromagnetic wave lines such as microwaves and millimeter waves, and has terminal pairs that connect three or more lines. Electromagnetic waves that are input sequentially are output from the next terminal pair, and since there is no flow in the opposite direction, it is called a nonreciprocal element. This property is used in various microwave application fields such as microwave communications and radar to separate the waves entering and leaving equipment.
