In the case of a foreign exchange bank, funds are provided by a foreign bank with which the foreign exchange bank has a correspondent relationship when settling a usance bill for imports. The usance bill issued by the exporter is discounted by the foreign bank, making it easier for the importer and the importing country as a whole to manage foreign currency liquidity.
