He also used many tonics, believing that the most important organs are the spleen and stomach, and that it is important to replenish their vitality. His school was called the Warm Tonic School, and his theory, together with that of Zhu Zhenheng, is called Li-Zhu medicine. He wrote books such as Treatise on the Spleen and Stomach, Discussion of Internal and External Injuries, and Secrets of the Orchid Room. …
