Karabük (English spelling)
A city in Zonguldak Province in northwestern Turkey. It has iron deposits, which are exploited by a state-owned mining company. Turkey's first modern steelworks was built in 1940 and expanded in the 1950s and 1960s. Population 105,373 (1990).
