Aimenbe

Japanese: 相嘗 - あいんべ
Aimenbe
〘Noun〙 (A variation of "ainie (ainame)". Written as "aimube") In ancient times, a festival was held on the day of the rabbit in November in which the new grains of the year were offered to the gods and the gods and the emperor held a feast together. A ceremony in which offerings were made to shrines in Yamashiro, Yamato, Kawachi, Settsu, and Kii . Ainame. Ainie. ※Sagomo Monogatari (around 1069-77) 3 "As it was already November, the Saiin headed for Ahimuhe ." [Etymology] In the "Nihon Shoki," "ainame" is read as "aihinie," but it is often written as "ainame" and has additional readings such as "ahimuhe," "ahinhe," and "ahiname." It is pronounced as "ainame" ("Ahimube" in "Kanchiin Hon Myogisho" and "Myomokusho"). Since "Iroha Jiruisho" and "Sagomo Monogatari Kokanjihon" have it as "aehe" and "ayahe", it seems that it was also pronounced as "aenbe" or "ayanbe". The current reading of "ainame" is based on the kanji notation, and may have been based on analogy with " niiname" and " ohoname" .
