Okama Shrine - Okamajinja

...Shiogama Shrine, the Ichinomiya of Oshu, attracts many visitors as the god of maritime safety and bountiful catches, and within its grounds are the Shiogama Sakura and the Hayashi Shidaira sundial. [history]
It is a temple town of Shiogama Shrine, and is close to Taga Kokufu in Mutsu, and has been called "Kokufu no Tsu" since the end of ancient times. At the end of the Muromachi period, the town expanded and became a distribution center for goods with 21 storehouses.
