Kamakura Ozoushi

A war chronicle from the Muromachi period. It is also called "Taihei Koki." It consists of three volumes. Some say that the author was a poet in the line of Toutsuneyori, but it is unclear. The date of its creation is also unknown, but it is believed to have been written between the Sengoku period and the early modern period. It records the political trends of the Kanto region for each year over the 100 years from 1379 (Tenju 5, Koryaku 1) to 1479 (Bunmei 11). It covers the activities of the Southern Court in the Kanto region, the movements of the Kamakura Kubo, the conflicts and rivalries between the Uesugi, Chiba, and Yuki clans, the Uesugi Zenshu Rebellion that arose from conflicts within the Kamakura government, the Eikyou Rebellion that began with a feud between the Shogun and the Kamakura Kubo, and civil wars such as the Yuki Battle, making it an important work for understanding the political situation in the eastern part of the country in the 15th century. It is included in the "Kaitei Shiseki Shuran" and the "Gunsho Ruiju" war section.

室町時代の合戦記。『太平後記』ともいわれる。全3巻。著者は東常縁(とうつねより)の流れをくむ歌人とする説もあるが未詳。成立年代も不詳であるが、戦国期から近世初頭とされている。1379年（天授5・康暦1）より1479年（文明11）までの100年間の関東の政治動向を各年ごとに記したものである。関東における南朝の活動、鎌倉公方(くぼう)の動き、上杉・千葉・結城(ゆうき)氏らの対立・抗争、鎌倉府内の対立から起こった上杉禅秀(ぜんしゅう)の乱、将軍と鎌倉公方の確執から始まった永享(えいきょう)の乱、さらには結城合戦などの内乱が扱われており、15世紀における東国の政治情勢を知るうえで重要なものである。『改定史籍集覧』、『群書類従』合戦部所収。
