…Specialty products of the region include the Asakura Sansho jar with hexagonal chamfers from the early Edo period, red clay products from the mid-Edo period, and a wide variety of thin, elaborate sake bottles mass-produced in the late Edo period. As Tamba tea ware is called Enshu Tamba, it reached its heyday after the Kan'ei period (1624-44).
