Yanshan upheaval - Enzanhendo

Japanese: 燕山変動 - えんざんへんどう
Yanshan upheaval - Enzanhendo

...In a broad sense, it refers to the Mesozoic to Cenozoic orogeny around the world, and there are two types: the Eurasian Alpine orogeny, which stretches from the Mediterranean to the Caucasus, Himalayas, and Myanmar, and the Alpine orogeny in the Pacific Rim. In East Asia (Yanshan orogeny) and western North America (Nevada orogeny, Laramide orogeny), Mesozoic and Cenozoic orogeny (formation of island arcs) occurred in different regions, and the two are clearly distinct, so a distinction has come to be made between the Mesozoic Alpine orogeny (Yanshan orogeny, Laramide orogeny, etc.) and the Cenozoic Alpine orogeny (the narrow sense of the Alpine orogeny). The Alps are divided into three regions, the Western Alps, the Eastern Alps, and the Southern Alps, based on both geography and geological structure.
