MCP-Image Intensifier

...Micro channel plate (Figure 2) is used to multiply secondary electrons, and there are ultra-high sensitivity image intensifiers such as MCP-image intensifiers, which are used in astronomical observations. X-ray image intensifiers overlap the input phosphor screen (CsI, etc.) with a photocathode, and generate photoelectrons by X-ray emission to obtain an image. They are used in medical applications to reduce radiation exposure during X-ray fluoroscopy.
