...In the early 8th century, they were defeated by the second Khan of the Second Turk Empire, Motu, but the events leading up to this time are known from Turk inscriptions such as the Köl Tegin inscription, along with the name qïrqïz. In the mid-8th century, the Yenisei Kyrgyz were conquered by the Uighurs, a nomadic nation on the Mongolian plateau who succeeded the Turks, but in 840, they took advantage of internal conflicts and natural disasters in the Uighurs to attack Ordubaliq and defeat it. After that, they gradually expanded into the southern foothills of the Altai Mountains, but in the first half of the 10th century, with the advance of the Khitan, they re-established their center in their homeland in the upper reaches of the Yenisei River and even built a city. ...
